BSTDB Objectives:
The Project contributes to implementation of the Bank’s development mandate, as the Bank’s financing is essential for the development of SME in Romania, the most dynamic element of growth in the emerging markets.

The Project will not have negative environmental impact and is in compliance with the Bank’s Environmental Policy.
Banc Post S.A. is one of the largest banks in Romania, with a nationwide branch network. Established in 1991 as a joint-stock banking company, Banc Post had been licensed by the National Bank of Romania to operate as a postal bank providing banking services to corporate and retail customers.
The operation involves the provision of a Credit Line to Banc Post to finance the needs of small and medium sized enterprises in Romania.
The operation is a term loan in the amount of US$10 million. BSTDB loan proceeds will be channelled through Banc Post S.A to Romanian SME. SME and sub-projects to be financed by the loan proceeds would have to comply with relevant eligibility criteria in terms of size, conditions and financial situation.
