Position Purpose

The Associate (Security and Driver) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Bank’s personnel and high‑level officials, while supporting overall organizational security. The role encompasses executive protection support, crisis response readiness, and secure transportation of Management, Board members, staff and official visitors. This position contributes to maintaining a high level of operation security in both routine and high-risk environments, supporting the Bank’s resilience and continuity.

Key Functions and Responsibilities 
Reporting to the Director, Administrative Services Department (DAS), the Associate (Security and Driver) will be responsible for:

  • Responding to security incidents and emergencies — ensuring rapid, effective mitigation of threats and safeguarding personnel and organizational assets.
  • Providing executive protection services — delivering close protection to Management, Board members, staff and official visitors during all official engagements.
  • Ensuring secure and defensive transportation — offering safe, efficient, and discreet mobility for Management, staff, and VIPs through advanced defensive and tactical driving techniques.
  • Monitoring threats and security risks — maintaining proactive situational awareness and contributing to preventive security measures.
  • Supporting crisis management and incident response — enhancing organizational preparedness and ensuring coordinated, effective action during emergencies or critical events.

Required Qualifications
Education
College or first university degree (preferred fields: Computer Systems, Network Administration, or IT related disciplines).

Experience
At least 10 years of working experience in law enforcement (police preferred) or security operations in high risk or sensitive environments.

Technical Knowledge

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, threat assessment, risk mitigation, public safety and crisis-management procedures.
  • Familiarity with building safety systems, access control, CCTV, alarms, and smart building technologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risks relevant to executive protection and secure communication.

Skills

  • Language Skills: Excellent Command of English and Greek.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting, documentation, and communication.
  • Proven ability in executive protection, crisis response, decision making under pressure and defensive/tactical driving.
  • High level of discipline, reliability and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Desirable Qualifications 
Experience

  • Experience working in international cooperation environments (e.g. FRONTEX, EU agencies).
  • Experience in secure driving or VIP transport. 
  • Experience operating company vehicles and adhering to fleet safety protocols, including inspections, maintenance reporting, and safe driving practices.
  • Experience in the region of the BSTDB’s operation.

Technical Knowledge

  • Training in First Aid and Public Safety.
  • Additional training in security operations, defensive driving, or crisis response.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
For a candidate to participate in the competitive selection for this position, s/he must meet at least the following minimum requirements: 
Education: College or first university degree.
Experience: At least 10 years of working experience in law enforcement or security operations in high risk or sensitive environments.
