BSTDB at EBRD 2026 Annual Meeting and Business Forum
Engagement with partners and stakeholders highlights shared priorities for competitiveness and sustainable growth
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) participated in the 35th EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum, held in Riga, Latvia, from 5 to 7 June 2026 under the theme “Volatile to Versatile: Economies Innovating in a Changing World”.
The event brought together government representatives, international financial institutions, investors, business leaders and policymakers to discuss economic developments and investment priorities in an increasingly complex global environment.
Vice President Banking Ziya Aliyev, Vice President Finance Valeriy Piatnytskyi, Vice President Risk Dragos Ungureanu and Secretary General Asterios Tsoukalas along with senior other senior executives represented BSTDB at the Annual Meeting. They participated in bilateral discussions with partners, other development institutions and clients covering a broad range of topics, including coordination of development efforts, sustainable finance, energy security, and regional economic prospects.
The Annual Meeting offered a valuable platform for dialogue and reaffirmed the importance of cooperation among international financial institutions, investors and private sector stakeholders in mobilising investment and supporting resilient and inclusive growth.
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) is an international financial institution established by Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, and Ukraine.
