BSTDB Participates in Finance in Common Special Event in Paris
High-level dialogue contributes to G7 French Presidency priorities on sustainable finance and multilateral cooperation
The President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), Dr. Serhat Köksal, together with BSTDB representatives, participated in the Finance in Common (FiCS) Special Event held in Paris, in the context of France’s G7 Presidency.
The high-level event brought together Public Development Banks (PDBs), international financial institutions and policymakers to discuss how to scale investment, strengthen cooperation and mobilize finance for sustainable development and climate action. The discussions focused on addressing fragmentation in the global financial architecture and enhancing coordination across development finance institutions.
Participants emphasized the role of PDBs in supporting country-led development and mobilizing private capital through innovative financial instruments, including guarantees, blended finance and risk-sharing mechanisms.
The event also contributed to ongoing discussions under the G7 French Presidency on strengthening multilateral cooperation and advancing practical solutions to global development and climate challenges.
