The BSTDB opened its joint stand with BSEC Business Council at the 75th Thessaloniki International Fair

The ceremony was opened by Mr.A. Kondakov, BSTDB President and Ms. E. Bacopoulou, BSEC BC Secretary General.

H.E. S. Kouvelis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic and the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) welcomed the participation of the BSTDB and BSEC BC in the Fair and expressed support of the Greek Government for regional cooperation and to the activities of the two organizations. 

Mr. A. Kondakov said that the BSTDB contributes to the efforts of the Greek government to accelerate the regional cooperation with an emphasis on the green technologies, environmentally friendly and energy efficient projects.  Those areas are operational priorities for the Bank in the Region and BSTDB is getting increasingly engaged in relevant investment projects. The Bank also pays special attention to the support for Greek economy during this time of uncertainty and challenge.

Ms. E. Bacopoulou urged the Greek business community to become actively involved with activities of the BSEC BC, specifically under two new cooperation networks encouraging environmentally-friendly “green” projects and women’s entrepreneurship.   

Mr. G. Kottas, BSTDB Secretary General stressed the importance of the support that the Bank receives from the Greek authorities in fulfilling its mandate.

Mr. V. Arkhipov, Chairman of the Russian National Committee for BSEC underscored the importance of the business dimension of the regional cooperation and expressed appreciation of the support that it receives from the Greek government.
