Black Sea Trade and Development Bank Welcomes Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis-Michail Loverdos

High-level talks reaffirm strong cooperation between Greece and BSTDB

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) welcomed H.E. Mr. Ioannis-Michail Loverdos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, to its headquarters in Thessaloniki for a meeting with the Bank’s President, Dr. Serhat Köksal and the Secretary General, Mr. Asterios Tsoukalas.

The discussions reaffirmed the strong and longstanding cooperation between Greece — a founding member and host country — and BSTDB. President Köksal briefed the Deputy Minister on the Bank’s latest institutional and operational developments, strategic priorities, and ongoing activities in support of sustainable economic development and regional integration.

The parties also reviewed the Bank’s cooperation with Greek authorities and explored prospects for further strengthening collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

“As a founding member and host country, Greece plays a pivotal role in the Bank’s success,” said Dr. Serhat Köksal, President of BSTDB. “We deeply value our close and constructive partnership with the Greek authorities and remain committed to further enhancing our cooperation in support of sustainable growth in the Black Sea region.”

The meeting underscored the shared commitment to advancing initiatives that contribute to economic resilience and stability across the Black Sea region.

 

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) is an international financial institution established by Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, and Ukraine.
