BSTDB country mission to Greece

The Bank's delegation paid a 2-day working visit to Athens with a country mission to discuss key economic developments in the country and national economic policy priorities in the framework of the elaboration of a new BSTDB strategy for Greece. The new country strategy will follow general objectives set forth in the recently approved Medium-Term Strategy and Business Plan of the Bank for the period 2011-2014, providing for a 2-fold increase in the Bank's portfolio in Greece over the period.
The BSTDB delegation headed by Mr. Andrey Kondakov, President and including Mr. Mustafa Boran, Vice President Banking, Mr. George Kottas, Secretary General and heads of relevant Bank's departments had meetings with H.E. Mr. Michalis Chrysochoides, Minister of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping of the Hellenic Republic and other high officials of the Ministry in charge of Investments and Development issues, Taxation and Customs, International Economic Organizations, Public-Private Partnership projects, etc.
Mr.Ioannis Drymoussis, Secretary General of the Ministry and the BSTDB Governor for Greece and Mr. Petros Kontos, BSTDB Director for Greece participated in the Bank's presentation to the Greek business and banking community organized under the auspices of the Ministry with the support of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and other national business associations.
The presentation was followed by a press briefing of the Bank's top management for the Greek and international media.
