BSTDB country mission to Russia

A Black Sea Trade and Development Bank delegation concluded a working visit to Russia to discuss key economic developments in the country and national economic policy and investment priorities in the context of the Bank’s new strategy for the country. The strategy follows general objectives set forth in the recently approved Medium-Term Strategy and Business Plan of the Bank for the period 2011-2014 and aims to increase the development impact of the Bank’s activities while supporting the economic policy promoted by the Government, including stronger focus on the real sector operations, employment creation and diversification of the economy. The bank will maintain the geographical emphasis on the South of Russia – Rostov, Stavropol and Krasnodar regions.
The BSTDB delegation was headed by Mr. Andrey Kondakov, President and included Mr. Mustafa Boran, Vice President Banking and Ms. Orsalia Kalantzopoulos, Secretary General and heads of Bank's departments. The delegation met Mr. Sergey Storchak, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of Vnesheconombank, development bank of Russia, and officials in charge of the economic and investment policy at the Ministry of Economic Development and the Central Bank. .
Mr. Kondakov held a press briefing together with Mr. Storchak for leading Russian news agencies and the business press, which provided extensive coverage of the Bank’s country mission.
