BSTDB Becomes a Member of the IFIs Evaluation Cooperation Group

On April 30th BSTDB, through its Independent Evaluation Office, became an official member of the IFIs Evaluation Cooperation Group (ECG). ECG is the authority on IFI’s independent evaluation and related best practice standards.
Membership at ECG is provided after a rigorous assessment of the IFI’s evaluation methods, systems and overall credibility, as well as the overall corporate governance. In 2012-2014 ECG conducted extensive reviews of the Evaluation Office, as well as the BSTDB’s corporate governance, with reference to highest IFI standards. The review confirmed the soundness of the Bank’s systems and included several recommendations towards inter-IFI credible independent evaluation, which were successfully implemented.
ECG provides a unique access to specific analysis, lessons learned and other resources to its members, through the respective Independent Evaluation Departments. The ten ECG members are: the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the Inter American Development Bank, The International Monetary Fund, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the Islamic Development Bank, the World Bank Group, and BSTDB.
