BSTDB Expands Cooperation with İş Leasing to Finance SMEs in Türkiye

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has provided a USD 30 million leasing facility to İş Finansal Kiralama A.Ş.,Türkiye (İş Leasing) to support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Türkiye.
This is the second leasing facility extended by BSTDB to İş Leasing, after the successful utilization of the first EUR 30 million facility provided in 2014.
This new loan will enable Is Leasing, to offer more than 150 sub-loans to Turkish SMEs, in addition to nearly 180 sub-loans financed through the first facility. Thus, the cooperation between the two institutions will have helped more than 330 businesses in Türkiye to get access to leasing financing.
The development of the non-bank financial sector, leasing operations in particular, is BSTDB’s priority in the Black Sea region. Since its inauguration, BSTDB has extended leasing facilities to 16 financial institutions in Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Russia with a total amount of around EUR 130 million.
Established in 1988, İş Leasing is one of the leading leasing companies in Türkiye. It is an affiliate of İşbank, which is the largest private bank in Türkiye.
