BSTDB Delegation Visited Rostov Region in Russia

On April 24-25, 2019, a BSTDB delegation led by President Dmitry Pankin visited the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don to meet with the local Administration and the business community to discuss ways to increase Bank’s investment activities in southern Russia.

The delegation exchanged views on Region’s economic and investment priorities and strategic infrastructure development with Deputy Governor of Rostov Region Yuri Molodchenko, State Duma Deputy Alexey Kobilev, and heads of the Region’s Ministries of economy, industry and energy, transport, and public utilities. In particular, the parties discussed investment opportunities and Bank’s involvement in the city metro project, Rostov highway bypass, light rail transport connecting Rostov with neighboring towns.

The Administration and the Bank agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to promote BSTDB’s lending activities in the region.

The Bank made a presentation to the local business community organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Region and discussed individual business proposals of private companies.
