BSTDB Participates in UNECE Side Event on PPP Best Practices

Showcasing regional PPP financing insights
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) participated in the Side Event titled “Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable Development: Best Practices from Türkiye,” organised by the Permanent Mission of Türkiye on the margins of the 9th Session of the UNECE Working Party on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Geneva.
BSTDB was represented by Elif Tunali-Nikoglou, Principal Banker – General Industries, Transport & Tourism, who joined senior officials from the Government of Türkiye and representatives of international financial institutions in a high-level discussion on the role of PPPs in advancing sustainable development.
In her intervention, Ms. Tunali-Nikoglou presented BSTDB’s experience in financing well-structured PPPs across Türkiye, highlighting the Bank’s contribution to resilient and critical infrastructure, enhanced regional connectivity, and socio-economic impact. She emphasized the importance of robust institutional frameworks and strong public–private collaboration to deliver projects that meet international quality and sustainability standards.
BSTDB welcomed the opportunity to contribute to this prestigious knowledge-sharing platform and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its member countries in developing effective PPP models that address regional priorities and long-term development goals.
