Press Release | 06-Jun-2005

On June 6, 2005, the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank organized its sixth traditional Black Sea Business Day on the occasion of its Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors in Yerevan, Armenia.

The business conference gathered more than 250 participants representing governments, international banking and business community of the greater Black Sea region and the Caucasus region. The discussions focused on the ways to explore investment potential of Armenia and the Caucasus region, with special attention devoted to assistance provided to small businesses and financial sector development in the region.

The event that was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, proved to be a unique occasion for international investors and businesses interested in the region to exchange their experience and explore cooperation opportunities, as well as to develop new contacts with potential partners.

The signing of two loan agreements with Armenian SMEs through the Joint Finance Facility, established by BSTDB and Izmirlian Foundation in Armenia, gave another evidence of the success of the Black Sea Business Day as a business generating event.
