BSTDB Embarks on a New Era with the Signing of Agreement for New Headquarters

Bank’s New Offices among the Most Environmentally-Advanced in Greece

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) held a signing ceremony for the purchase of its new headquarters. The purchase agreement was signed by Dr. Serhat Köksal, President of BSTDB, and Mr. Dimitris Andriopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of Dimand S.A. The acquisition, design, and development of the new headquarters are estimated to total EUR 16 million and will be financed through a collaborative effort between the Greek Government and the Bank, aligning with the Contribution Agreement signed in 2014 and subsequently revised in 2019.

The new headquarters, a standalone state-of-the-art office building, will be located next to Office Complex Hub26, which is located at the epicenter of the accelerating significant urban regeneration project around the Thessaloniki port area. The offices’ design and construction will be undertaken by Dimand S.A., a major Greek real estate developer known for their innovative and sustainable architectural solutions.

The building, encompassing more than 5,000 m2 will boast a multifunctional and low-emissions design and, in line with the Bank’s environmental and sustainability priorities, will receive LEED Gold certification, ranking it among the most environmentally-advanced office buildings in Greece and the first of its kind in Thessaloniki.

In his remarks, Dr. Serhat Köksal, President of the Bank said: “Today marks a new chapter for BSTDB, as we lay the foundation for our future. Set for completion in the spring of 2025, more than 25 years of the Bank’s establishment, our new headquarters will facilitate to expanding operations, enhancing visibility, and improving efficiency  and effectiveness of the Bank throughout the  Black Sea region.”

Speaking about the agreement, Mr. Andriopoulos, CEO of Dimand, said: “The signing of this agreement marks an important moment for us at Dimand. It is a great honour and pleasure to undertake the development of the new privately owned offices of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank. We highly appreciate the trust the Bank has placed in us and we look forward to working with passion and commitment to create an advanced work environment that will serve the needs of the Bank and its executives."

The event was graced by the  presence of  Mr. Stathis Konstantinidis, Deputy Minister of Interior (sector Macedonia and Thrace), and Mr. Athanasios Ziogas, Deputy Mayor of Thessaloniki for Administrative Restructuring, Organization and Operational Planning.
