Description and Purpose of the Operation:

Banc Post S.A. is one of the largest banks in Romania, with a nationwide branch network. Established in 1991 as a joint-stock banking company, Banc Post had been licensed by the National Bank of Romania to operate as a postal bank providing banking services to corporate and retail customers. The operation involves the provision of a Credit Line to Banc Post to finance the needs of small and medium sized enterprises in Romania. The operation is a term loan in the amount of US$10 million. BSTDB loan proceeds will be channeled through Banc Post S.A to Romanian SME. SME and sub-projects to be financed by the loan proceeds would have to comply with relevant eligibility criteria in terms of size, conditions and financial situation.
