Provision of Bank to Bank Loan to DemirBank for on-lending exclusively to SMEs eligible in accordance with eligibility criteria agreed with the Bank. The Operation aims to contribute towards expanding of the SME lending program of DemirBank thus facilitate the access to finance for small and medium sized private businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Operation is expected to support the Borrower to diversify its funding base and provide an excellent mechanism for BSTDB to extend funding to enterprises and entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan which cannot be otherwise accessed directly.

During the course of the loan the Borrower will need to undertake environmental assessment of the leasing operations with medium and high environmental risk, as well as ensure proper monitoring of these operations; ensure compliance of the leasing operations with applicable national EHS requirements; strictly follow the Bank's Negative List of Products; and submit annual EH&S performance reports.
