Acquisition of Notes to be issued by IMH Koks Group, Russia,a vertically integrated business operating in the metallurgical supply and production chain with a focus on producing coke and pig iron.

Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:
The beneficiary is an important exporter of pig iron and other products. While BSTDB markets account for a small share in total pig iron exports from Russia, Russia accounts for almost half of imports of pig iron of BSTDB region. As such, in case funding supports and exports, there is a well defined regional cooperation impact. The Group retains on average 16,450 employees and their continued employment, especially under the current circumstances is paramount. The financed capex includes processing facilities and modern dust collection equipment reducing the environmental impact of the Group’s operations.
Environmental Classification and Impact (summary):
Environmental and social (E&S) category B+. The E&S due diligence of PJSC Koks concludes that the Group generates complex E&S risks and impacts and its operations are exposed to various risks that could result in legal, financial, and reputational consequences. The Issuer however takes proactive steps to constantly improve its E&S performance and ensures legal compliance of its business with the legal and regulatory requirements of the Russian Federation. It has instituted appropriate management systems, some of them in line with international standards, such as ISO and has incorporated good management practices to effectively control such risks.
